When Worry Starts Getting in the Way
The teenage years bring a lot of change, and some worry is normal. But when anxiety begins interfering with school, friendships, sleep, activities, or everyday life, your teen may need additional support.
Anxiety can look different in every teen. Some become overwhelmed by worry or overthinking, while others become irritable, withdrawn, avoidant, or overly focused on getting things “right.” Therapy provides a supportive space where teens can better understand their anxiety, develop healthy coping strategies, and build confidence in their ability to handle difficult emotions and situations.

Teen Depression doesn't always look like sadness
You may notice your teen withdrawing from family and friends, losing interest in things they once enjoyed, becoming increasingly irritable, struggling with motivation, or seeming tired and disconnected.
Therapy gives teens a place to express what they're experiencing without judgment or pressure. Together, we work to understand what's beneath the changes you're seeing, strengthen coping and communication skills, and help your teen reconnect with themselves, their relationships, and the things that bring meaning to their life.

Helping Teens Navigate the Pressure to Succeed
Between academics, extracurricular activities, friendships, college expectations, and social pressures, today's teens are managing a tremendous amount. For some, the pressure to keep up can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, avoidance, sleep difficulties, or feeling as though they're never doing enough.
Therapy can help teens develop healthier ways to manage stress, set realistic expectations, improve emotional regulation, and find greater balance. The goal isn't to take away their motivation—it's to help them succeed without feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to do so.

When Doing Your Best Never Feels Good Enough
High-achieving teens can appear confident and successful on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, fear of failure, or intense pressure to perform. A disappointing grade, mistake, athletic performance, or social setback can feel much bigger when a teen's sense of self-worth becomes tied to achievement.
Therapy helps teens recognize perfectionistic patterns, develop greater flexibility and self-compassion, and learn that mistakes and setbacks don't define who they are. We help teens maintain their goals and ambition while building a healthier relationship with achievement—and with themselves.

Supporting the Person Behind the Athlete
Student athletes face a unique combination of academic, athletic, social, and personal demands. Practices, competition, coaches, teammates, schoolwork, injuries, recruiting, and expectations about performance can create significant stress—especially for teens who already expect a lot from themselves.
Therapy provides a place where student athletes can step outside of their performance role and focus on their emotional well-being. We can address performance anxiety, perfectionism, confidence, setbacks, team dynamics, injury-related stress, and the challenge of balancing athletics with the rest of adolescence.
At Find Flourishing, we want young athletes to develop skills that support not only their performance, but also their resilience, relationships, and overall well-being.
